National Youth Thai Pongal Day
Celebration of the National Youth Thai Pongal day was held today at the Udappu Kovil, Puttlam marking the path of the brotherhood joining North and South.
In marking this occasion, a group of Youths island-wide was traveled to Puttlam from the Maradana Railway Station by a special train.
Hon. Namal Rajapaksa, the State Minister of Youth & Sports, Hon. Sanath Nishantha,the state minister, Mr.Damitha Wickramasinghe, the Chairman/ Director General of the National Youth Services Council with other officers joint to the group of youth from the Kudappawa Railway and traveled towards its destination. Later, they have participated in the Welcoming Ceremony at the Kovil premises Udappu, Puttlam.
