"Japan - Sri lanaka Frienship Commemoration Festival"
Youth Walk "Never Give - Up"
The Japan- Sri Lanka Friendship Walk "Never Give Up the Eternal Light of the Hope" was held today morning at Maharagama with the participation of over thousands of Youths of the National Youth Services Council.
To mark the 70th Anniversary of the Japan-Sri Lanka Friendship, this Walk was jointly organized by the National Youth Services Council, Sri Lanka Federation of Youth Clubs, Sri Lanka Youth Parliament, Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital, and the National Institute of Education.
To pay their gratitude to Japan, the staff of institutions such as the National Youth Services Council, Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital, National Institute of Education, and Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation which were donated by Japan to Sri Lanka has been involved in this Walk.
This event was held with the patronage of H.E Mizukoshi Hideaki, the Ambassador of Japan to Sri Lanka, and Hon. Roshan Ranasinghe, Minister of Irrigation, Youth & Sports, Dr.Amal Harsha De Silva, Secretary to the Ministry, and Mr. Ravindra Samarawickrama, Chairman/ Director General of the National Youth Services Council have participated in this event.
